Rabindra Sadan is a cultural centre and theatre in Kolkata where live dance or drama performance or cultural programmes and exhibition are held regularly. Rabindranath Tagore, sometimes called also the title of Gurudev, is the Anglicized name of Rabindranath Thákhur. He exercised an enormous fascination on the Western world, who rewarded him with the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913.
He was the first non-Western literary Nobel Prize in history. Created a school of art and life, the Visva Bharati University, which she continued until the end of his life.
