East Bengal vs Mohun Bagan


The Mohun Bagan Athletic Club is a football club of Calcutta. Founded 15 August 1889, is the oldest club in the whole of Asia. The team has won three times in the National Football League the name by which it was known the Indian football championship between 1996 and 2007 in 1998, in 2000 and in 2002. It currently plays the First Division of the new Indian league, the I-League. In addition, the disputed Calcutta Football League, an event reserved for the formations of the metropolis, which is set 27 times.

The team plays its home games at the stadium, Mohun Bagan Ground of Calcutta, which has a capacity of around 30,000 spectators. The home games are played that attract much of an audience in the stadium Yuva Bharati Krirangan, which can accommodate up to 120,000 spectators. Its capital is divided brown with two green bands on the sides, white shorts and white socks. The mascot is a tiger. It is the first Indian formation to have adopted a hymn and a mascot.

The Mohun Bagan is always bitter rival East Bengal Football Club, the other team from Calcutta. The East Bengal Football Club now officially called Kingfisher East Bengal Football Club is a football club of Calcutta, founded on 1 August 1920.

The club has won three occasions in the National Football League the name by which it was known the Indian football championship between 1996 and 2007 in 2001, in 2003 and in 2004. He currently plays the First Division of the new Indian league, the I-League. It is the only Indian company to have won the LG Asean Club Cup 2003. Twinned with England's Leicester City Football Club, East Bengal has always been a bitter rival of Mohun Bagan, the other team from Calcutta.
